Harm of Lumbar Disease
Lumbar Intervertebral Disc Disease could be accompanied with sciatica, numbness or pain of thigh or crus, muscle spasm. For example, feet prolapse, toe weakness, sciatica syndrome (numbness on perineum area, malfunction when relieve the bowels, sex malfunction). This may be made worse by moving, coughing, sneezing, or standing for long periods of time. The most serious patient could be paralysis at the end. The definition of spondylolisthesis is the slipping of one vertebra forward over another. This is represented by the two boxes which are not lined up. The degree that the upper box has slipped over the bottom box is marked by the black arrow. Spondylo means vertebra and listhesis means slipped. Spondylosithesis could be aroused by degeneration, injuries and some congenital reasons while there are more than 60% patients caused by degeneration. In China, there is 4.7-5% people are suffering in spondylolisthesis with between the ages 20-50. Low back pain, burning, tingling, and numbness: at the beginning, the pain will be intermittent and be continually at the end that extends from the buttock into the leg and sometimes into the foot. Usually one side (left or right) leg is affected. Through some rest, the pain will be released. If these symptoms combined with the intervertebral disc disease, there will comes Sciatica with leg pain. Serious spondylolisthesis will cause sciatica syndrome. Spina Stenosis and Spondylolisthesis are always companioned with intermittent claudication and legs numbness, cold, leg weakness or loss of leg function. Again, the tumour on lumbar will cause serious back pain companioned with burning, sweating, weakness, becoming thin, losing appetite and other toxicosisn symptoms caused by tuberculin.
